About Helene

A Gold Coaster, she attended St. Hilda’s School until graduation. Initially wanting to attend the Sydney Sports Academy to expand her athletics, she was thwarted by the then undiagnosed Multiple Sclerosis. So, after considering her school results in Art, she applied to the Seven Hills College of Art and was accepted.

Helene’s passion to create began with a variety of art forms such as handmade paper and cards, rag  dolls, weaving, wood turning, leadlighting, mosaics, decoupage and cross stitch.

Soon after, a business of handmade jewellery for both adults and children had begun, supplying the boutique and resort industry throughout Queensland.  This later grew into a range of children’s clothing.  Helene has been working with water colour and mixed media for the past three years.  She enjoys the challenge that these sensitive mediums present and this motivates her to keep going.
